Children's Sunday School

All of our classes will be held in the Aaronson Wing. If you have not done so, please register your children on-line or you may pick-up a form in the church office. On Sundays, there will be a listing of classrooms at the main entrance off the courtyard and at the Blessed Beginnings entrance. On the first day there will be volunteers to help you and your children find their classroom. This year, for classes up thru 5th grade, a parent or authorized person will be required to sign the children in and out of class.

SUNDAY SCHOOL
Due to the change in sermon times, Sunday School will begin at 8:30 & 10:00 a.m.  The children will be brought up to the Sanctuary by their teachers after the sermon is over.  Please look for your child as they come in.  Children in the 3 year old and 4 year old class will be kept in the Narthex until a parent or assigned pick-up person comes to get them.  Children in 6th grade and higher will be dismissed from their classroom.  Children who cannot find their parent will be brought downstairs to the room in front of the nursery awaiting pick up. 

Sunday School News:

  • June 1 - The last day of Sunday School before the summer vacation.
  • June 8 - Teacher Appreciation Day. 
  • A New Summer Sunday School!  We’re putting together a Sunday School program for 5 yr. olds – 6th grade called “Metamorphis”.  It is a Promiseland Curriculum that focuses on the books of Proverbs and Romans. The children will experience large group presentations and lessons all together and have age group based small group activities, games and activities. We’ll use a bug theme to teach that the way we think and behave results in God transforming us. We need parents willing to help organize and lead activities so please contact Geoff Bysshe (729-0485) or geoff@marketgauge.com, if you would like to help.

Coming this Summer:

    • K-5th Grade will meet Tuesdays at Ungerman Field 10:00 a.m. - 12 noon (weather permitting).  Join us for a fun time with a Bible lesson, games and a snack.
    • Vacation Bible School (ages 4 years – 5th grade): July 14 - 18, 9:00 a.m. – Noon.  Applications are available in the Church Office. Call Sue Huges (579-3928) to volunteer your help.

Our children's ministry believes that Sunday School should:

  • Be focussed on the children
  • Teach the Bible in creative and interesting ways
  • Teach a message which is relevant to the children's life experiences
  • Be safe
  • Be fun!

    There is no greater reward than sharing your love of Jesus Christ with the children. You DO NOT have to be a Bible expert – the curriculum details each weekly lesson in a concise, easy-to-follow “script”. You WILL NOT be alone—each class is taught with a team approach.
