[Session Team WebPage] BLESSED BEGINNINGS Carol Kirschenbaum (07) Responsible for Pre-school / CHRISTIAN EDUCATION Sandy Poots (05). Responsible for COMMUNITY OUTREACH Phil Sweet (06), Mary Krejci (06). (formerly Social Concerns) Identify and support a broad
range of needs within the community, such as Food Pantry, Samaritan
Inn, DASI, CROP, and IHN. FINANCE COMMITTEE Ken Ernsting (05). Responsible
for preparing the annual budget from council input, and monitoring financial performance on an on-going
basis, recommending any action to ensure sound financial health of the
church.
GOVERNMENT Tom Ingala (05) & Mike DeStefano (07). Oversee all matters that pertain to the “corporation”, including acquisition and sale of property, administer the Endowment fund, and other funds not part of the operating budget ( Memorial Fund and Ed Trust Fund), and conduct the “legal” affairs of the corporation. HOSPITATLITY Julia Sanford (06) Responsible for organizing/hosting fellowship activities of the congregation. LAY MINISTRY Julai Sanford (06), Responsible for Spiritual Gifts identity/training, Christian Friends, Sole Cafe and to provide support to any new outreach ministries. MEDIA TEAM Dave Pontzer (09). Responsible for
all multimedia support and equipment, including the church web site.
MEMBERSHIP No longer functions as a Council. Session acts on recommendations by the Church office in matters relating to maintenance of church rolls. MISSIONS Joe Lacopo (08), Rich Adamantz (07). Identify mission opportunities with which the
church will participate, both local causes as well as foreign, and establish
an annual financial support budget for each.
Educate the church membership and promote participation in the
various mission opportunities.
NOMINATING & LEADERSHIP Julia Sanford (09) (the only council whose members are elected by the congregation).
Identify and recruit members to serve on session, board of deacons,
church councils or search committees, and provide for training of church
officers.
PROPERTY Brent Defeo (07). Oversee and maintain the physical church ‘plant’; ensure property is in good repair and in conformance to codes; recommend improvements and capital repairs/ upgrades. STEWARDSHIP Dave LaTorre(05). Responsible
for educating the membership in matters of stewardship.,
and for conducting the annual stewardship campaign. WORSHIP & SACRAMENTS Nancy Steiner(05). Responsible for the oversight of the worship life of
the church, including music ministry; the lead council in recommending
distribution of the Foster Fund, responsible for the maintenance of the various
musical instruments, and for decoration of the sanctuary., including
the Flower Fund. |
